Featuring more than 60 garments, the exhibit Oscar de la Renta: Five Decades of Style will be on display at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas from July 19 until October 5, 2014. This major retrospective of the world-renowned American fashion designer Oscar de la Renta also celebrates his legendary career and inspirational life - from the origins of his fashion career to some of his most recent runway creations.
Dallas visitors can explore a wide variety of famous dresses, including Laura Bush's second inaugural day and evening ensembles, as well as Jenna Bush's wedding dress - both designed by the famous fashion icon. Along with the First Family's attire, elegant evening gowns worn by Carrie Underwood, Amy Adams, Taylor Swift, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Garner will also be on display.
Museum guests can also view silhouettes, elegant day wear and ball gowns, as well as videos that will introduce them to the famous Oscar de la Renta collection via images, articles and personal stories from both de la Renta himself and Laura Bush. Whether you're a history buff or a fashionista at heart, this exhibit is for you!
While you're there, be sure to explore the rest of the huge George W. Bush Presidential Center, with its library and museum. The center is located on a 15-acre park in Dallas on the campus of Southern Methodist University and accessible at I-75 and University.

Museum and library visitors are given access to a wide variety of official records and artifacts from the Bush presidential term, including more than 70 million pages of paper records, four million digital photos and 200 million emails. In fact, the library features the largest digital holding of all National Archives and Records Administration presidential libraries.
The George W. Bush Presidential Center also features a full-scale replica of Bush's Oval Office, steel from the World Trade Center and the infamous Florida voting chads from the 2000 election. One of the most interesting parts of the museum is its interactive exhibits that invite museum visitors to put themselves in Bush's position during some of his most challenging choices, such as when he faced the Iraq war, Hurricane Katrina and the financial bailout.
The Oscar de la Renta: Five Decades of Style exhibit will only be presented in Dallas until October 5, so make your reservations now. Tickets are available for purchase online.
