Renowned for hosting the world's largest outdoor trade days, First Monday Trade Days flea market has been in operation for more than 150 years. The market takes place in the small town of Canton Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of each month.
At First Monday Trade Days, you'll come across handmade jewelry, clothing, arts and crafts and the artists who made them, as well as collectibles, antique furniture and other vintage items. A day is usually not enough time to peruse through everything the market has to offer.
One of the best features about First Monday Trade Days is the unique holiday decorations and gifts you can't find anywhere else. For example, during October, you'll find a wide variety of fun pumpkin items, like pumpkin-shaped chimineas, burlap door wreaths and more.

You can also stock up on Christmas decorations, many of which definitely have a country theme. There's no shortage of Cowboy Santas at the market. Visit this unique outdoor market in the fall, and make a day of it.
To get to First Monday Trade Days from downtown Dallas, simply hop on I-20 East and then take exit 526. The drive is about an hour. Be sure to check out a great local eatery while you're in town, like Street Taco Shack.
