About San Antonio, TX Nightlife

San Antonio's nightlife is as diverse as its history.  Local musicians play at restaurants and bars on the River Walk and around town. ‘Texas music’ is a rapidly growing sub-genre of American country music and has a style all its own.  Go shopping at the Alamo Quarry and then stop off at the The Quarry Hofbrau and Beergarden. This local favorite hosts Texas musicians with their own flavor.  Artists like Mark Monaco and Rodney Hayden take the stage regularly here and at other great establishments. For two consecutive years, Sam’s Burger Joint has been voted “Best Live Music Venue in San Antonio.”   Country music and dancing thrive at Cowboy’s Dancehall and history lives on at the oldest operating dancehall in Texas, Gruene Hall which lies just north of town in historic Gruene, Texas.

Popular hangouts for partying and dancing include clubs like the Kremlin and the Bonham Exchange.   If you are looking to dress up and be seen, visit the Vbar or Swig Martini Bar. Your choices are unlimited as are the possibilities with a night out in San Antonio.  Many restaurants open up a stage or patio for live music to encourage diners to stay longer and enjoy more of a concert experience while they have dinner and drinks. Whether you are looking for rock, jazz, salsa, country, pop or your favorite Tejano band, you won’t be disappointed.
