Just outside of San Antonio, right up IH-35, lies Blue Bonnet Palace. Once upon a time this dancehall was host to artists like Garth Brooks and Clay Walker. An indoor rodeo arena welcome professional bull riders and rows of tables seated thirsty guests. This was back in the 1980's and early 1990's. It shut down for a time and re-opened in the recent past. Now with both indoor and outdoor concert stages, it is host to a variety of concerts and up and coming bands. The music is of different genres so there is always something for everyone. The Blue Bonnet has a bar and two dance floors. It welcomes ages 21 and up. The crowd is not usually the early 20's or under 30 age range. The Blue Bonnet caters to guests over 30. However, it can depend upon who's playing that night. You can check their website or fan page for a list of current events. Dress is fairly casual, especially in the summer months when it can be very warm at night. You'll find plenty of space to dance to your heart's content. Hang out and shoot the breeze with your friends while you enjoy your favorite drinks and listen to live music.
