In the city of the endless shopping mall, the news that a new mega mall will open is usually treated with the raising of the eyebrows, as if Bangkok needed yet another mall. However, Paradise Park certainly fills a niche. Eastern Bangkok is home to a huge population, yet is decidedly sparsely furnished when it comes to luxury malls.

The owners of MBK Mall near Siam Square, one of the city's most successful shopping plazas, are part of the investment team behind Paradise Park, and over 3 billion Thai baht was spent to redesign and renovate the site of the former Seri Center and turn it into a glitzy shopping mecca.
The mall has five floors that are packed with over 700 retail shops. Many of Thailand's favorite chains are here, ranging from a True Fitness gym to the internationally flavored Villa Supermarket, as well as the home furnishing and do-it-yourself mega store, Home Pro.
In addition to the shops, there is a huge food court and plenty of restaurants, where one can find anything from Turkish doner kebab to Japanese to Thai to fast food. And to ensure that nobody gets bored, there is also a large multi-theater Cineplex, as well as several day spas and the state-of-the-art True Gym.
