Bronx Liquid Parlour is the new bar of top mixologist Hideyuki Saito, who manned the Vogue Lounge bar before deciding to open up his own place. Saito has a wealth of experience around the globe mixing drinks, from his native Tokyo to New York to London, where he designed cocktail menus for Electric House in Soho house, and he showcases his expertise at this speakeasy-style ode-to-New York industrial venue, with no sign outside, a curtain over the front window, and a focus on great drinks. The menu features classics and signature drinks, of which the signature ones come with a small bite of food meant to enhance the flavour of the drink. Try the Francesco, which blends Grappa Sarpa Oro di Poli, pear Eau de Vie, tequila, triple sec, and lime, and gets served up with some smoked prosciutto, bringing out the subtle flavours of the different alcohols. Or sample a classic The Other Coco, which combines aged plum Eau de Vie, Thai rum, coconut water, and lemon with chewy dried pineapple. The intimate bar is an excellent spot to enjoy a master mixologist at work and appreciate fine crafted drinks.
