While it may look ultra upscale from the outside, the Platinum Fashion Mall is actually like taking a trip to Chatuchak or Pratunam markets with the bonus of a whole lot of icy air conditioning thrown into the mix. Platinum is a wholesale shopping mall, much like its outdoor counterpart Pratunam down the street, where you want to buy 3 pairs rather than 1, with mostly clothing, shoes, and fashion accessories being hawked from hundreds of small shops. The six shopping floors of Platinum are named after world famous shopping streets or districts, like Ginza, Soho, Camden, Orchard and such, and this is the rare mall in Bangkok where bargaining is the norm. Families who want to outfit their children will love this place, as you can head up to the 5th floor, where an entire arcade of children's clothes and accessories are to be found.
- Shopping Malls and Centers: "Combine a visit here with a trip to electronic stocked Pantip Plaza down the street. It is easiest to walk up here from the Ratchaprasong Intersection (BTS Chidlom), as traffic on Petchaburi is horrendous most of the time."
- Best for Shopping Malls and Centers Because: For kid's clothes and cheap fashions, Platinum is packed with great deals.
