Bistro Provence is a delightful French restaurant situated on Commercial Street, close to the waterfront in Leith. Patron Michael Fons hailed from Marseille, and he brings with him a flair and passion which is clear for all to see. Provencal cooking utilises olive oil, garlic, parsley and rosemary in place of the heavier cream and butter found in much traditional French cooking, so the dishes are light and fresh while remaining very flavourful. As well as the a la carte menu, which features an array of seasonal favorites, they have an excellent lunch menu, which offers very good value.
