Yes, Park City, Utah is for skiers and snowboarders and those who love the great outdoors, but Park City is also a foodie's haven, or should I say heaven? The city even offers food tours now, where a guide will not only give you a nice background on the history of the area, but allow you to sample fare from 4 or 5 restaurants on Main Street.
This chic mountain town is also hosting its distinguished 10th annual Food and Wine Classic this July, where many events take place, including local chefs offering bite size samples at the grand tasting event. This is no ordinary small town, this high-altitude home to over 100 (many award-winning unrivaled) restaurants. Purple Sage has cowboy American decor and appeal, but don't let the casual cute ambience and prices fool you. The food is yummy gourmet, from the Grilled Pacific White Shrimp to Sugar and Chili Cured Deck, I venture to reason that no cowboy out on the prairie ever ate this well.

The contemporary and sophisticated new Edge Steakhouse in the Westgate Park City resort, located at The Canyons, is receiving quite a bit of recognition. Winning several Best of State awards including Best Chef, The Edge is gaining quite a reputation for its signature entree, their steaks.
Also on the menu, their veal, lamb, elk and short ribs, to name a few, can be accompanied by indulgent sides such as a trio of mashed potatoes, exotic mushroom gratin and the most popular, the black and white truffle mac and cheese. Set in a brick building, this stylish restaurant attracts a fashionable crowd. Just inside the entrance is a small bar; beyond that is the dining room, where a cultivated patina is evident. A total lover of Park City, she spends many weekends there, especially in the summer for all the outdoor activities.
