Best Nightlife

Out of all the clubs and bars in a city, 10Best narrows the options to those places with the most appeal and the best reputations. We offer a carefully vetted selection to let you explore Spokane nightlife on your own. If time is really tight, though, and you don't have the leisure to look through all our offerings, we present our Spokane Best Nightlife list. Here, we distill the best businesses down to a special selection of ten. These places promise a stellar experience and a taste of the city that you just can't miss.

3 Niko's Greek Restaurant and Wine Bar
This lovely two-room restaurant at first appears to be a little on the rustic side, but, once inside, you'll find white linen tablecloths, a beautiful wine bar and rather contemporary lighting. Niko's II is Spokane's best wine bar, and they serve some of the very best Northwestern and Californian products in town. While you sip your wine, it's worth trying one of their delectable homemade desserts. They also offer rather excellent lunch and dinner menus, each boasting a variety of Greek and Mid-Eastern dishes. 2 Mootsy's
The ever-popular Mootsy's is little more than a beer bar with a pool table. The place is dark and not fancy, but folks of all ages are made to feel very welcome here. They do sometimes have live music — like when a Spokane favorite returned to play his harmonica and delighted patrons with a little blues. Mootsy's also serves a few popular microbrewed beers, including Northern Lights and Moose Drool. (509-838-1570)

1 Dempsey's Brass Rail
Dempsey's Brass Rail is Spokane's IN place as far nightlife goes. If you want to dance, you'll find plenty of reasons do it at this high-energy, mixed-crowd Euro disco. The dance floor, located upstairs, is well lit and equipped with various special effects, while the downstairs area contains the lounge, stage and pool tables. On weekends, be sure to stay late for the drag shows, and on Thursdays you can join the locals to watch "Will and Grace" and enjoy a delicious plate of spaghetti. The Rail's dance floor stays open until 4am for those looking for late-night dancing, but no liquor is served after 2am. (509-747-5362)
