You can rest easy knowing that any choice you make from our list is sure to please.

10 Snow King Resort
The Snow King Resort has over 400 acres of skiing territory! It doesn't stop there though -- the resort has a restaurant and lounge, heated pools, saunas, whirlpools, and an indoor ice skating rink. For a low-key day, browse through the shops, or you may consider an afternoon of horseback riding. All the rooms come with an exquisite mountain view. Located six blocks from Town Square and nine miles from the airport. (307-733-5200, 800-522-5464)

9 Museum of the Mountain Man
The Museum of the Mountain Man traces the history of western Wyoming. There are exhibits on fur trading, exploration, and early settlement, as well as the Native Americans who first inhabited the area. This museum is also home to Wyoming's oldest historical pageant, the Green River Rendezvous, which takes place the second Saturday in July. (307-367-4101, 877-686-6266)

8 Elk Antler Arches
This is the standout landmark of Jackson. In 1968, arches fashioned from shed elk antlers were constructed at all four entrances of the town square. The arches are particularly appropriate, since Jackson lies on the perimeter of the Elk Refuge. Each year, local Boy Scouts collect the antlers, most of which are then sold at auction in the town square on the third Saturday of May. (307-733-3316)

7 Alpine Slide
Slide down 2,500 feet of Snow King Mountain in a bobsled! You will go sliding past trees and wildflowers at whatever speed you choose. If slow and easy is your speed, that's okay -- you'll still have an exhilarating experience! Kids under 7 must ride with an adult. (307-733-5200, 800-522-5464)

6 Bridger Gondola
This tram takes riders from the Teton Village to heights of 10,000 feet. Popular activities from the tram include hiking, paragliding or mountain climbing. After a day of adventure, or as your destination for the day, you have the choice of two restaurants at the summit offering fine dining and gourmet deli fare. The gondola operates continuously depending on the weather and with no reservations necessary. (307-733-2292)

5 Yellowstone National Park
No trip to Jackson would be complete without a trip to Yellowstone National Park. The world's first national park continues to be a popular destination, and you'll be amazed at all the wildlife (bison, bighorn sheep, elk, wolves, bears, eagles) you spot just driving through on the main roads. To get to Yellowstone from Jackson, drive north on 89, going through Grand Teton National Park. It should take about 90 minutes to reach Yellowstone's South Entrance, and another 45 minutes or so to reach Old Faithful. And by all means, stop at some of the "scenic overlooks" -- the views are awesome! (307-344-7381)

4 Grand Targhee Resort
This resort offers maximum opportunities for fun! In the winter, it is a great place for skiing, whereas summer has its own activities, including horseback riding. There are three different hotel accommodations in the resort area, ranging from motel rooms that sleep up to four to condominiums with two or three bedrooms. Babysitting services are available if your kids aren't old enough to hit the slopes with you. This is a great place to visit and to stay, but keep in mind that it is 40 miles out from Jackson Hole and that in the winter a lot of snow can easily block the Teton Pass, making it very difficult to get there. (307-353-2300, 800-827-4433)

3 National Museum of Wildlife Art
Twelve exhibit galleries, a 200-seat auditorium, and a café fill this castle-like museum. Special shows and a permanent collection with works by wildlife artists Carl Rungius, John J. Audubon, George Catlin, Bob Kuhn, Robert Bateman, and others contribute to this being perhaps the only museum of its size devoted exclusively to wildlife art. (307-733-5771, 800-313-9553)

2 Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Probably the main reason people head for the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is for skiing and snowboarding -- for winter sports enthusiasts, it just doesn't get any better than this. But the resort offers a wide selection of other activities as well, from sleigh rides and snow shoeing to snowmobile and dogsledding tours. The possibilities are seemingly endless. And that's just the winter season -- spring, summer, and fall are equally as exciting (or relaxing!) as you wish. Getting to the top of Rendezvous Mountain is a snap when you ride the Aerial Tram; other warm weather activities include hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, fishing, and rafting. Lessons and camps, guided tours, and equipment rentals are available. Tons of activities for kids, too! Call for details on specific activities. (307-733-2292, 800-333-7766)

1 Grand Teton National Park
Although not quite as old, big, or well known as Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park is definitely a don't miss kind of place. The massive mountains of the Teton Range stretch 40 miles, and include eight mountains over 12,000 feet. Although this is a climber's paradise, if you aren't quite up to tackling the 13,770-foot Grand Teton, there are plenty of more horizontal hiking trails throughout the park. Even a leisurely drive along the main roads will provide stunning views. You may even catch a glimpse of the local inhabitants -- wolves, bears, elk, moose, eagles, and falcons. Moose Visitor Center is the only one open year-round. Other visitor centers and services are seasonal. (307-739-3399)
