Denver, CO knows how to scare up some good safe Halloween fun for your child: the Denver Boo at the Zoo taking place October 26-28, 2012! The staff is in costume and ready to greet your trick-or-treater at over 25 stations throughout the park. There will be wildlife demonstrations with some of their creepiest residents (think tarantulas) and other entertainment provided, all for the cost of regular admission. If you get there before closing, then you don't have to pay the after hours rate to get in for Boo after Dark, which goes until 9 PM on Friday only.

Disney won't be left out of fall fun; on select nights between September 11 and November 2, 2012, head to the Disney parks in Orlando, FL for some "Not so Scary" Halloween fun. Mickey's Halloween Party takes place after hours, and is a safe place to do some spook-tacular trick-or-treating and see some exciting entertainment and fireworks.
One of the perks to this event, now in its 18th year, is that the ticket includes admission to the park up to 3 hours prior to the event, which takes place after dark. Parking is free, too. Before Mickey's Parade, don't miss the Headless Horseman making his pre-parade ride. See some of the Disney villains at the meet-and-greet after the big show at Cinderella's castle and get in on the photo ops available.
The music soundtrack accompanying the parade and fireworks show can be purchased on CD at the park. In Liberty Square and Tomorrowland, boogie with your favorite characters at the themed dance parties. Most attractions are open and kids can fill their bags numerous times at the different candy stations set up throughout the Park. Enjoy all the festive lights and Halloween decorations in the transformed park as only Disney can do.
