    The High Tide Painkiller | Ocean House | Rhode Island

The High Tide Painkiller is made of Creme de Coco, simple syrup, pineapple juice, white rum, Midori, Bols Banana, and served with an orange slice.

    Red & Stormy Cocktail | Rocco Forte's Hotel de Russie | Rome

    Enjoy this vibrant cocktail at the Stravinskij Bar outdoor terrace. There's no better way to spend a warm afternoon in Rome than sipping this beverage in Hotel de Russie's infamous "Secret Garden." The hotel's signature Red & Stormy includes Bacardi Superior, lime juice, ginger syrup, a splash of Angostura berry reduction and is topped with ginger beer.

    Eureka Punch | Smuggler's Cove | San Francisco

    The Eureka Punch, created by Martin Cate of Smuggler's Cove, was inspired by California's bountiful citrus harvest. The drink is packed with fresh California lemon juice, which will be coming into season in just a few months. The punch is made with aged rum, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup, Chartreuse and Angostura bitters.

    Heaven is for Sinners | Artesian Bar | London

    Artesian Bar's newest menu called Surrealism is inspired by the avant-garde movement and experiments with all the senses including texture, sight, smell and, of course, taste. Try a rum-infused cocktail like the No More Colada made with Bacardi, coconut, pineapple and cinnamon, or the Heaven is for Sinners which includes Zacapa 23, furikake, pineapple, mango, Tonka and Saison.

    Storm's Brewin' | Porchlight | New York

    Opened in March 2015 in West Chelsea, Porchlight Bar is a "New York bar with a Southern accent" that has already been making waves with its friendly service, southern-style cuisine and expertly made cocktails. Try out one of their Southern inspired mixed drinks made with a New York twist, like the Storm's Brewin', created by Porchlight General Manager Mike Shain. The cocktail packs a punch of flavor with Smith and Cross Rum, Appleton VX, lemon juice, passion fruit syrup, Grenadine, Allspice Dram and Angostura served in a hurricane glass with a lemon or orange wheel.

    Caribbean Fantasy | Curtain Bluff | Antigua

    Raggle Taggle Gypsy | The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog | New York

    The Dead Rabbit is a tri-level, mid-19th century style Irish/New York drinking saloon located in Lower Manhattan, which debuted in 2012. The Raggle Taggle Gypsy, created by Greg Buda, is part of the bar's third menu release, which completes the menu trilogy that's based on the storied history of New York's infamous Five Points neighborhood. The sweet concoction is made with Bacardi Heritage, Pisco Porton, in-house sumac cane syrup, lemon, nectarine juice and Bokers Bitters.

    The Golden Age | The Violet Hour | Chicago

    Winner of the 2015 James Beard Foundation's "Outstanding Bar Program" award, The Violet Hour is an upscale cocktail lounge in the heart of Chicago's Wicker Park. The candle-lit interior and soft leather back chairs will invite you to stay a while and slowly savor your artfully crafted drink. Try the sweet and complex Golden Age made with Golden Rum, lemon, Cherry Herring, simple syrup and egg yolk.

    Pusser's Painkiller | Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort | St. Thomas, USVI

    The Marriott's signature Pusser's Painkiller got its start at White Bay on the island of Jost Van Dyke in the BVI – specifically at the six-seat Soggy Dollar Bar. The popular beverage is a favorite at Frenchman's Reef and is served at all restaurants on property. The Painkiller is made of Pusser's Dark Rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, coconut cream and is topped with a dash of nutmeg.

    Mahalo Karloff | The Courtesy | Orlando

    Take a break from the Florida heat and cool down with the complex Mahalo Karloff at The Courtesy. The Courtesy is a downtown Orlando favorite with an inviting atmosphere, craft beer and signature cocktails. The sweet Mahalo Karloff was created by The Courtesy's own Elise Cuingan and is made with white rum, house-made pistachio syrup, fresh lime, Angostura, mint and pistachio crumbles, topped with a Black Strap Rum floater.

Want to try your hand at recreating some of these cocktails on your own? See below for a few of the recipes of the drinks featured above and toast to National Rum Month in the comfort of your own home. 

1. The High Tide Painkiller Recipe

1 spoonful of Crème de Coco (Coco Lopez)
1 orange slice
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz white rum
1 oz Midori
1/2oz Banana Bols

Muddle together the Crème de Coco, orange slice and simple syrup. Add remaining ingredients and shake to combine. Serve in a highball glass and garnish with flag.

2. Red & Stormy Cocktail Recipe

1.5 oz Bacardi Superior
1 oz Lime Juice
1 oz ml Ginger Syrup
Splash of Angostura Berry Reduction
Top Ginger Beer

Shake and top with crushed ice. Serve in a Hurricane glass and sprinkle Mint Spring/ Berries /Lime/Shell/Ginger Slice/Powder Sugar 

3. Eurkea Punch Recipe

In a cocktail shaker, combine:

1.5 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
.5 oz Yellow Chartreuse
1 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and water, heat to combine, then cool and store in fridge)
1.5 oz aged rum
1 dash Angostura Bitters

Shake with cubed ice and strain into an ice filled collins glass. Top with 2 oz good quality ginger ale (such as Fever Tree) and garnish with a lemon wedge and mint sprig. 

4. Storm's Brewin' Recipe

.75 oz Smith and Cross
.75 oz Appleton VX
.5 oz Lemon Juice
.5 oz Passion Fruit Syrup
.25 oz Grenadine
1 dash Allspice Dram
1 dash Angostura

Build all of the ingredients in a mixing tin. Whip shake and strain into a hurricane glass. Float .25 oz of Demerara 151 Rum. Garnish with an orange and lemon wheel.

5. Caribbean Fantasy Recipe

A shot of Cavalier or English Harbour Rum
3 oz Pineapple juice
A dash of cream of coconut
A touch of Grenadine cream

Pour all the ingredients into a blender with the ice and whizz together for just a few seconds. Pour into a tall cool glass and garnish with a cherry and pineapple.

6. Raggle Taggle Gypsy Recipe

0.75 oz Bacardi Heritage
1 oz Pisco Porton
0.75 oz Sumac Cane Syrup*
0.75 oz Lemon
0.5 oz Nectarine juice
2 Dashes Bokers Bitters

Shaken and poured into a punch cup and garnish with nutmeg. 

*Sumac Syrup: 1 tsp sumac powder to 3 oz of a 2:1 cane syrup, mixed as the syrup is being made and steeped for 30 min.

7. The Golden Age Recipe

2 ounces Golden Rum
.75 Lemon
.5 Cherry Herring
.25 Simple Syrup
Egg Yolk

8. Pusser's Painkiller Recipe

2 oz Pusser's Dark Rum
4 oz Pineapple Juice
1oz Coconut Cream
1 oz Orange Juice
Ground Nutmeg

Shake well or stir ingredients. Pour over ice in a tall glass. Sprinkle nutmeg on top and serve.
