Dark and Stormy is the Forecast

This little cocktail is surging in popularity

Straight from the gorgeous islands of Bermuda, the Dark and Stormy is named this way for good reason. The drink is a brand-specific, potent-yet-simple combination of Gosling's Black Seal rum and Barrit's ginger beer. Depending on your preference, you can add a dash of lime. Do not try to substitute any of the ingredients; stay away from ginger ale beer and white rum. You don't want to end up with a Light and Stormy.

Ingredients:

1/4 ounce of lime
2 ounces Gosling's Black Seal dark rum
10 ounces Barrit's ginger beer
Lime wedge for garnish if desired

Preparation:

Add the ingredients to a 12-ounce highball glass with ice. Squeeze a lime wedge over the ice (optional). Pour the beer and the rum in the glass. Stir well and add another lime wedge as garnish.
