The Olympics have all eyes on London this year, but some of the city's best views are at night, especially at the Tower Bridge, which spans the Thames River, right in the heart of the city. In 1912, a pilot had to fly through the bridge in his biplane to avoid an accident, and in 1952, a bus driver had to leap from one bascule to the next when the bridge began to rise with his bus still on it!
