Literally at the top of the Sacramento Mountains sits the Lodge Resort and Spa in Cloudcroft, NM, where, from its turret, the juxtaposed desert floor of Almagordo and the beautiful White Sands National Monument is visible. Legend has it that a young red-headed chambermaid named Rebecca was killed here when her lumberjack lover found her in the arms of another.
