  • International Film Festival in Portland, OR

    February 7-23

    Each year, more than 35,000 people attend the International Film Festival in Portland, Oregon, making it the largest film festival in the state. Over 100 short and feature-length films will be screened to audiences as they compete for four prizes: best narrative feature, best short, best documentary and best new director.

  • Spring Training in Ft Myers, FL

    Throughout February
    You'll have to wait until April for MLB's opening week, but if you want to get in on some early action, come watch some of the best Major League teams train in Ft Myers, Florida. The Boston Red Sox start practicing at the new JetBlue Park at Fenway South, while the Minnesota Twins will swing their bats at Hammond Stadium.

  • Chinese New Year, Beijing

    February 10

    This February, people across Asia and the world will celebrate the end of the year of the dragon and the start of the year of the snake. In Beijing, Chinese New Year is celebrated with a bang...literally. The entire city lights up with fireworks and red lanterns during China's most important event.

  • Westminster Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show, New York

    February 11-12

    For the 137th time, the Westminster Kennel Club will be hosting their annual All Breed Dog Show in New York. This year, an expected 3,200 dogs will participate, competing for the prestigious Best in Show title. Two new breeds, the Russell Terrier and the Treeing Walker Coonhound will bring the eligible breed total up to 187.

  • London Fashion Week in London, England

    February 15-19

    One of the Big Four fashion weeks, London's February Fashion Week kicks of mid-month with nearly 100 designers showcasing their spring and summer collections on the runway for more than 5,000 buyers and members of the press. Highlights this year include collections by Simone Rocha, Mulberry, Daks and John Rocha.

  • La Fiesta de los Vaqueros – Tucson Rodeo in Tucson, AZ

    February 16-24

    Pull out those cowboy boots because February means rodeo time in Tucson. The annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, centered on the Tucson Rodeo, includes a full lineup of rodeo events as well as the world's longest non-motorized parade. Come watch as more than 650 contestants fight for glory and prize money.

  • Sweethearts of the Caribbean and Classic Yacht Regatta in the British Virgin Islands

    February 15-18

    Dedicated yacht captains from around the Caribbean set sail for the British Virgin Islands in February for the annual Sweethearts of the Caribbean Yacht Regatta. Hundreds of racers attend, but even if you don't have your own boat, you can still enjoy the nightly entertainment in Tortola.

  • Fremont St Mardi Gras in Las Vegas, Nevada

    February 12

    It always feels Mardi Gras-like when you're on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, but during real Mardi Gras you're sure to see a lot more beads. The five city block covered street will host music performances, dancing and lots of glitz during this favorite time of revelry.

  • Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival in Big Island, HI

    Plan for next year!  

    The 2013 Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival on Hawaii's Big Island was the 20th installment of the annual event. While the beautiful cherry blossoms are the main draw, the festival celebrates Japanese culture as a whole, with lots of food, music, exhibitions, entertainment and markets.
