Oxnard, California is a coastal city located in Ventura County, approximately one hour's drive north of Los Angeles and a few miles south of the city of Ventura. Thanks to ongoing civic revitalization efforts, Oxnard has changed its image as a purely agricultural community (it produces most of Southern California's berry crop) to a hip and happening visitor destination. With seven miles of white sandy beaches, a picturesque harbor, farm-to-table international cuisine, outstanding museums, wine tasting, and a historic downtown district, Oxnard offers the visitor an attractive, affordable Southern California coastal experience.
