  1. During the summer, Olympic Park doesn't shut down. No – they just put a twist on the traditional skiing, snowboarding, and bobsledding that's so popular in the winter. Slide down a ski jump into a pool. Fly down the mountain, through the tree tops, on the Zip Rider, sort of a ski-lift-in-reverse. Hurtle down the luge track at 60mph, in a cart, on wheels.
  2. In 1982 after an extensive renovation on the old Miners Hospital, a human chain formed a "book brigade" to move the thousands of books in the collection at the original library on Main Street to its new location.
  3. Park City area is a culinary delight. By actual count, Park City has more chefs per capita than Paris, France.
  4. The Canyons Resort is one of the largest ski resorts in the country. It offers over three thousand acres of trails and runs for any level skier and snowboarder.

  8. From approximately 1850 through 1890 the main form of transportation in Park City and other Western cities was the Stagecoach. Until the railroad lines were laid throughout the West in 1891.
  9. The town first gained fame with the 19th-century silver rush, which also brought it a measure of infamy, thanks to the many saloons and brothels that cropped up in the wake of wealth. In the 1900's there were over 100 saloons.
  10. The Mary G. Steiner Egyptian Threatre now stands on the famed Dewey Theatre. In 1916 heavy snow fell and caused a fatal snowslide and the collapse of the Theatre just hours before 300 patrons were watching a movie.
