Pink Sand Beach, Grace Bay, Tropic of Cancer Beach and Meads Bay also winners
Beach junkies and sun lovers will find some of the world's most spectacular stretches of sand on the islands of the Caribbean. With so many palm tree-lined, silky sand expanses leading down to warm, azure water, it's hard to narrow it down to just 20. But that's the task we gave our panel of Caribbean travel experts.
For the past four weeks, out readers have been voting for their favorites, and the results are in.
The top 10 winners in the category Best Caribbean Beach are as follows:
- Grand Anse Beach - Grenada
- Pink Sand Beach - Harbour Island, Bahamas
- Grace Bay - Turks and Caicos
- Tropic of Cancer Beach - Little Exuma, Bahamas
- Meads Bay - Anguilla
- Shoal Bay - Anguilla
- Long Bay Beach - Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
- Cas Abao Beach - Curacao
- Maundays Bay - Anguilla
- Eagle Beach - Aruba
A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to picked the initial 20 nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. Experts Sarah Greaves-Gabbadon (JetSetSarah.com), Melanie Reffes and Chelle Koster Walton (10Best) were chosen based on their knowledge and experience of Caribbean travel.
Congratulations to all these winning beaches!
A note on Irma and Maria: The 2017 hurricane season greatly impacted the Caribbean, with hurricanes Irma and Maria leaving destruction in their wakes. Where some islands were able to bounce back quickly, recovery continues on others. Each of our nominees in this contest is either currently open to visitors or has an expected opening date in 2018.License the 10Best Readers' Choice Award Logo
