While cruising has long been associated with an older demographic, cruise lines are wooing millennial travelers with adventurous onboard activities (think skydiving at sea) and shore excursions, high-tech amenities, diverse nightlife experiences and greater flexibility with onboard dining.

  • Carnival Cruise Line

    Carnival ships are packed with entertainment options and activities geared toward younger travelers, and the affordable price points add to the appeal for cruisers in their 20s and 30s.

    Small ships, affordable price points and a range of adventurous destinations–the Arctic, Galapagos, Antarctica and the Amazon to name a few–make G Adventures a favorite among millennial travelers.

  • Princess Cruises

    Princess Cruises recently added the high-tech Ocean Medallion to the Regal Princess. This wearable personal concierge appeals to tech-savvy travelers by allowing them to unlock their cabin door, make purchases onboard, ordering a favorite cocktail or making specialty dinner reservations right from the lounge chair.

  • Windstar Cruises

    Windstar's fleet of luxury yachts can get visitors into secluded coves, narrow fjords and tiny villages inaccessible to bigger ships. Adventures aboard Windstar might include exploring Iceland's Surtsey Island, scuba diving in Fakarava, watching salmon spawn in Alaska or walking in the footsteps of vikings on Canada's eastern shores.
