No. 10: Hoover Dam
Situated about 30 miles east of Las Vegas on the border with Arizona, Hoover Dam is considered one of the greatest engineering marvels of the 20th century. Nearly a million visitors tour the dam annually for the chance to see the dam up close and even stand on one of the 30-foot pipes where water rushes underfoot to the generators.

No. 9: Dig This Las Vegas
Dig This Las Vegas has a five-acre site where visitors can push, pull, dig and lift behind the controls of an excavator, bulldozer or skid steel track loader. Thirty-minute Aggression Sessions let guests crush a car with a 30,000-pound Caterpillar excavator.

No. 8: Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck
You don’t have to fly all the way to Paris to visit the Eiffel Tower. The Vegas version offers a viewing deck 46 stories above The Strip. The half-scale replica also has its own nighttime light show every 30 minutes once the sun goes down.

Old Las Vegas is new again at the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown. This five-block entertainment district is home to the world’s largest video screen, as well as nine casinos, an 850-foot zipline, more than 60 restaurants and retail locations and free nightly entertainment.
No. 6: Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
The Bellagio is home to not one but two of the best free attractions in Las Vegas. The intricately designed floral displays at the Bellagio’s Conservatory fill the space all the way to the glass and metal roof, which looks like it belongs someplace with a much longer history than Vegas. It’s surprising to find this small horticultural oasis in a casino, but it’s a good surprise. The Bellagio’s Fountains are one of Las Vegas’ most photogenic attractions, wowing crowds several times a day with a musically synchronized water dance.

The World’s Tallest Observation Wheel soars 550 feet above the Las Vegas Strip, offering some of the best views of the city from above. Riders on the High Roller enjoy a 30-minute revolution aboard one of 28 cabins.

The modernization of Las Vegas has led to the decommissioning of many an iconic neon sign. The Neon Museum was founded in 1996 to collect and preserve these cultural relics. Visitors can see the Neon Boneyard – filled with more than 200 historic signs – on an hour-long guided tour.
