    Kings Island - Mason, Ohio

    Orion joins the roller coaster lineup at Kings Island as only the seventh giga coaster (coasters that have a drop of 300 to 399 feet) in the world. Thrill seekers plummet down a 300-foot drop to kick things off. The ride reaches speeds up to 91 MPH along the 5,321 feet of track.

    The Bourne Stuntacular
    Universal Studios Florida - Orlando

    This new stunt show at Universal Studios Florida takes guests into the world of Jason Bourne as he dangles from a helicopter in Dubai, races across the rooftops of Tangier and races by motorcycle through Virginia.

  • Cheetah Chase

    Cheetah Chase
    Holiday World - Santa Claus, Indiana

    Splashin’ Safari introduced what they’re calling the “world’s first launched water coaster” this year. Riders face off on two powered racing slides across some 1,700 feet of track.

    Candymonium
    Hersheypark - Hershey, Pennsylvania

    Hersheypark introduced its fastest, tallest and longest coaster in 2020 with Candymonium. The hyper coaster features a 210-foot ascent, seven camelback hills and maximum speeds of 76 MPH.

  • Texas Stingray

    Texas Stingray
    SeaWorld San Antonio

    Texas Stingray debuted at SeaWorld San Antonio this year as the tallest, fastest and longest wooden roller coaster in Texas. Rider experience 3,379 feet of track, a 100-foot drop and max speeds of 55 MPH.

  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

    Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
    Disneyland - Anaheim, California

    One of the newest attractions at Disneyland Park invites park goers to join the epic battle against the First Order. The massive attraction combines elements of a trackless dark ride, motion simulator, walk-through attraction and drop ride system, and the experience lasts 18 minutes.

  • Mystic River Falls

    Mystic River Falls
    Silver Dollar City - Branson, Missouri

    This new family river expedition at Silver Dollar City takes guests on a half-mile river journey through the Ozark waterways. The ride features an 82-foot-tall lift tower and will be the hub of a new park area, known as Rivertown.

  • West Coast Racers

    West Coast Racers
    Six Flags Magic Mountain - Valencia, California

    West Coast Racers is the world’s first single track quadruple launch racing coaster. The ride features two side-by-side tracks with four high-speed launches and an immersive “pit stop” designed to complete the racing experience. Guests experience four inversions, 14 track crossovers and speeds up to 55 MPH.

  • Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway

    Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway
    Disney's Hollywood Studios - Orlando

    This new ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios takes guests on an adventure through a cartoon universe. Goofy engineers the train as it follows Mickey and Minnie on a drive in their roadster. It’s the first ride at any Disney park to star Mickey Mouse and friends.

  • Catwoman Whip

    Catwoman Whip
    Six Flags Over Georgia - Austell, Georgia

    Catwoman Whip was one of two new thrill rides to debut at Six Flags Over Georgia in 2020. A giant arm lifts and tilts the super-sized wheel as it rotates horizontally. Riders reach heights of up to 67 feet in the air with their feet dangling below them.

Each summer, amusement parks across the United States introduce park goers to a new lineup of attractions, from extreme thrill rides that push our adrenaline pumping limits to themed areas that welcome us into whole new worlds. Despite everything that's happened this year, 2020 was no exception.

  10. Catwoman Whip at Six Flags Over Georgia - Austell, Georgia

A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.
