Carowinds introduced the Carolinas’ first double launch coaster in 2019 with the debut of Copperhead Strike. The thrill ride takes riders from 0 to 42 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds, then 35 to 50 miles per hour in two seconds. Five inversions round out the thrills.
