  • Envoy Hotel

    Envoy Hotel

    The Envoy Hotel, an Autograph Collection property located in Boston's Seaport District, caters to the millennial crowd with its urban chic, technology-infused rooms and the seasonal Lookout Rooftop Bar with its robust cocktail list and abundant communal spaces. The hotel's OUTLOOK Kitchen + Bar serves seasonal bites alongside craft cocktails, micro-brews and small batch bourbons.

    Portland, Maine

    New to the scene in Portland, Maine is The Press Hotel, a 110-room boutique housed within the historic Gannett Building (former home of the Portland Press Herald). Each room takes inspiration from writers' offices during the 1920s, with touches like vintage-style journalist desks and work of local artists. UNION restaurant pays tribute to the flavors of New England with a seafood-leaning menu using local, sustainable ingredients.

    Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery
    New Orleans

    Occupying three resorted nineteenth century warehouses in the hip Arts District of NOLA, the 167-room Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery pays homage to its location in history in many ways. The New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts curates a rotating collection of works for a lobby art gallery, while the Chandlery sells souvenirs and provisions from the best local and regional creators. Signature amenities include curated Spotify menus, pet welcome kits and a spiritual menu with a variety of books on faith.

    Virgin Hotel

    The Virgin Hotel Chicago brings the variety of luxury to the Windy City you'd expect from a Richard Branson endeavor. Guest rooms are divided into two parts, the Dressing Room and the Sleeping Lounge. A mobile app lets guests order room service, adjust the temperature or request an extra pillow from their smartphone. The Commons Club cocktail bar hosts a nightly social hour complete with complimentary drinks, and The Spa includes a traditional Turkish hammam.

    One of the first luxury properties to open in Jackson Hole in quite some time, the 58-room Hotel Jackson welcomes guests with a two-story fireplace in the lobby and warm wood and leather accents throughout. Guests enjoy gas fireplaces in every room, complimentary transportation into town and a ski valet service to Teton Village during the winter.

    Spectator Hotel

    The newest hotel in Charleston's luxury scene, The Spectator features 41 boutique rooms a block away from the Historic Charleston City Market. Inspired by Charleston's rich heritage, the property includes a bar fashioned after a 1920s speakeasy, locally sourced in-room snacks and beverages, tailored butler service and complimentary access to a fleet of bicycles for exploring the city.

    Loews Chicago Hotel

    The 400-room Loews Chicago Hotel marks the company's first branded hotel in downtown Chicago. Located in Streeterville close to North Michigan Avenue, the hotel features a signature ETA lobby bar, full-service spa, a 75-foot lap pool and Chicago's largest outdoor rooftop terrace, Streeterville Social. Iron Chef Jose Garces helms Rural Society, the hotel's contemporary Argentine steakhouse.

    21c Museum Hotel Durham
    Durham, N.C.

    Occupying the historic Hill Building in downtown Durham, 21c Museum Hotel Durham is the latest opening in the 21c Museum family. The 125-room boutique features a contemporary art museum – one of the first in North America dedicated exclusively to twenty-first century art – as well as Counting House, a restaurant under the leadership of Executive Chef Josh Munchel.

  • Embassy Row Hotel

    Embassy Row Hotel
    Washington, D.C.

    Embassy Row Hotel, DC's latest in the heart of Dupont Circle, re-opened in 2015 after undergoing a $15-million renovation. The 231-room hotel is already making waves thanks to its rooftop pool and bar (a first in the neighborhood) and the Adult Playground, an underground space where guests can relax with a game of ping-pong or foosball. The hotel also hosts on-site activities, like rooftop yoga or local culinary pop-ups.

A panel of experts picked the initial 20 nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. Experts Eric Grossman (USA TODAY) and Marla Cimini (USA TODAY) were chosen based on their extensive travel experience.
