Is it summer in Buenos Aires already? (Remember, the seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are opposite those in the United States and Europe.) Located on the 13th floor of the Hotel Pulitzer, you will find an outdoor oasis called Sky Bar, but you certainly don’t have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy it.
Just walk in, head to the elevator and go up to the 13th floor. No questions asked, and now it's time for a drink.

When you arrive at the 13th floor, you will find that Sky Bar is upscale but welcoming. The summer-themed terrace is full of painted white wood (looking faintly nautical), and it's a sea of relaxation when the weather is nice. In fact, the terrace bar is only open from October to April, the warmest time of the year in Buenos Aires, when al fresco dining is highly recommended after the sun goes down.
Chill music softly plays in the background, while the menu consists of cocktails, mocktails, wines, meat and cheese platters, pizzas, entrees and desserts. The drinks and food can both best be described as international fare with an Argentine flair. The crowd tends to be a mix of visitors staying at the hotel, foreign tourists staying elsewhere and locals.
You can sit at the bar, at the clusters of tables with navy blue seat cushions or at the plank counters with high wooden chairs. If you choose the latter, then you're better able to appreciate the window boxes full of cheerful flowers that line the balcony railing.

As Sky Bar is located on an upper floor, there are views of some of Buenos Aires' downtown buildings. Admittedly, it is not the best view of Buenos Aires, but it's an easily accessible view. Being up high is always fun, especially at sunset when the various shades of pink streak across the sky.
Between a couple of buildings, you can peek at a patch of water in the distance.
Sky Bar is open all day and closes at midnight during the week or 2 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And so this makes a good place for a drink in the sunlight or, if you are staying in the area, at night, since Microcentro generally does not have a lot of nightlife options.
At night, Sky Bar turns on the lights and sets out candles, making it a more romantic setting than by day.
