This fall, lovers of fine cocktails will have a new place to imbibe and be merry in downtown Phoenix. Bitter & Twisted, a new cocktail parlour, promises to deliver hand-crafted cocktails made from scratch using the finest house-infused spirits.
Bitter & Twisted is the brainchild of Ross Simon, mixologist extraordinaire and co-founder of the popular Arizona Cocktail Week. The cocktail bar will be located in the historic Luhrs Building, smack-dab in the heart of downtown's burgeoning nightlife district.

Simon, a transplant from the UK who came to Arizona in 2006, will be the general manager and lead bartender at Bitter & Twisted. His partners include local notables like Rajan Hansji, owner of the Luhrs City Center, and executive chef Bob Tam, a former corporate chef at PF Chang's.
So, what can guests expect from Bitter & Twisted? Simon promises the cocktail bar will be a relaxing, unpretentious spot featuring globally inspired small plates. On the weekends, the bar will feature soulful and funky live music.
But the star of the venue will no doubt be the bar's cocktail creations, which will eschew synthetic vodkas and other artificially flavored spirits in favor of the real thing. Almost all of the drinks at Bitter & Twisted will be made using flavored spirits that are infused in-house using locally grown fruits and produce.
