Steak 44, named after its location on busy 44th Street, is a chic steak and chophouse in east Phoenix that is a favorite with locals craving a high quality, hand-cut steak. The menu features steaks responsibly farmed in the USA and wet-aged 28 days. Highlights include the New York Strip and the Steak Farina, a house favorite featuring a bone in filet with an egg. Steak 44 also serves excellent bone-in ribs, veal chops, and a popular chicken franchise. There is also a raw bar with a chef's daily selection of fresh oysters, crab and lobster cocktails and a large selection of fresh fish and other shellfish. For a tasty side, order the loaded baked potato, which is smothered in sour cream, crunchy applewood bacon, and Tillamook cheddar.
- Steakhouses: "Although steak is the marquee attraction at Steak 44, this is also a good destination for seafood lovers. The restaurant has an impressive raw bar serving a daily selection of fresh oysters, lobster and poke."
- Best for Steakhouses Because: The steaks at Steak 44 are pricey, but they also happen to be some of the best in the city.
