It's no secret that Scottsdale loves to throw a good party. The city has long been the epicenter of Phoenix-area nightlife, with dozens of late-night dance clubs, bars and live music venues drawing thousands to the city every weekend.
This winter, Scottsdale will kick into full party mode, as nearby Glendale prepares to host Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The city's Fan Fest event will be a week-long celebration of fans and football, to be held outside the chic Scottsdale Fashion Square shopping center.
The centerpiece of the event will be ESPN's live broadcast leading up to the big game. Popular sportscasters from the cable network will be broadcasting live from the Scottsdale Fan Fest throughout the week, giving event-goers the opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of the channel's most popular on-air personalities.

But you don't have to be a die-hard sports fan to have fun at Fan Fest. As part of the festivities, there will also be numerous celebrity chef demonstrations, cooking and mixology competitions and special tastings and drink pairings to highlight local and regional cuisines.
A small army of local food trucks will also be on hand to feed hungry event-goers.
The Fan Fest event will also spotlight Scottsdale and its status as one of the top shopping destinations in the Southwest. Scottsdale Fashion Square will put on daily fashion shows, highlighting new collections from some of the world's best-known designers.
The most fashionable event of the week is the NFL Players' Wives Fashion Show, which is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, inside the hospitality tent at Fan Fest. The annual charity fashion show, now in its 15th year, was created to benefit local and national charities supported by Off the Field, a non-profit charitable organization created by the wives of current and retired NFL players.
The fashion show is open to the public, but fans must purchase tickets to attend the event. The fashion show is expected to draw more than 400 attendees.
Fan Fest Scottsdale will take place on the north side of Scottsdale Fashion Square between Goldwater Boulevard and Scottsdale Road. Event times are 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to noon on Super Bowl Sunday.
Fan Fest will also feature games, live music, fan rallies and sporting competitions. Most of the event is free and open to the public.
