Two new shops just opened up at Scottsdale Quarter, the city's swanky uptown shopping mecca. Intermix and Suitsupply are turning the already-fashionable Scottsdale shopping center into a can't-miss destination for style-oriented shoppers. The new stores are part of the center's ongoing 180,000-square-foot property expansion.
Intermix is known for its casual yet chic collection of designer casual wear. Fashionistas will recognize many of the labels on the rack, which include Stella McCartney, Chloe and Proenza Scouler. The opening of the Scottsdale Quarter location marks the retailer's debut in Arizona.

Even casual shoppers will appreciate the ambiance at Intermix, which was designed to evoke the neutral tones of the Arizona desert. The shop decor incorporates a mix of natural elements, including wood floors, leather tables and custom rugs.
Meanwhile, men on the hunt for designer duds can turn to Suitsupply. The Amsterdam-based luxury men's fashion brand, which currently only has 10 other locations in the U.S., is also making its official Arizona debut at Scottsdale Quarter.
The expansive, 7,000-square-foot store features a huge selection of fashionable menswear. The retailer is known for its use of 100% Italian fabrics and in-store custom tailor services. The Scottsdale location has a spacious open area, where customers can wait while alterations are done.
Scottsdale Quarter also just announced good news for lovers of Mattel's American Girls brand. The doll retailer will be opening its 16th experiential store in the U.S. at Scottsdale Quarter in the summer of 2015.
The American Girl store will take up 12,000 square feet of retail space and feature a large range of contemporary and historic dolls. The store will also sell books and accessories, including an assortment of matching outfits for dolls and their girl owners.
The popular store will also have an American Doll Bistro, where kids and parents can enjoy casual meals and celebrate birthday parties. There will even be a Doll Hair Salon inside the store, for the serious doll owner.
Since opening its doors in 2009, Scottsdale Quarter has quickly established itself as North Scottsdale's premier shopping destination.
The swanky, mixed-use development is home to more than 40 specialty shops, including an Apple store, Calvin Klein Performance, Free People, lululemon athletic, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Sephora, Verdé Maison and West Elm, among others. The center is also home to a high-end movie theater, a day spa and more than a dozen eateries.
Apart from its growing roster of shopping, dining and entertainment options, Scottsdale Quarter regularly hosts live music, wine tastings, fashion shows and other special events.
