Come fall, Scottsdale gears up for one of the biggest events of the season.
This annual event promises fun for car aficionados, as well as their families.

The three-day event is scheduled for Nov. 20 to 22, 2015, but hardcore hot rod enthusiasts are invited to stop by a day earlier for a Hot Rod Tour hosted by Phoenix's "Over the Hill Gang."
Interested parties can sign up for the tour, which leaves the registration desk at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19. The tour takes participants to some of the best local hot rod shops.
On Friday, Nov. 20, the event officially kicks off with the Goodguys Autocross qualifying rounds. Registered participants will be able to put their hot rods, trucks or other cars through the paces to test their driving skills and see how their car handles on the race course, which will be set up inside the WestWorld venue.
All autocross participants are timed on the course, and the winner from each class will take home an award and gift cards from sponsors.
The racing action continues on Saturday, Nov. 21, with the Goodguys Autocross elimination round from 9 a.m. to noon. When the competition is over, the Muscle Machine of the Year Award will be presented at 1 p.m. on stage.
On Sunday, Nov. 22, the winners of the Goodguys Autocross competition will be officially presented in the Winner's Circle. Afterwards, event-goers can watch presentations for the 2015 Muscle Car of the Year Finalist, Hot Rods by Dean Builder’s Choice Awards, Judy Murray Memorial Award, Gazette Pick and other top car awards.
Along with the racing competition, the event also features the AutoTrader classic car sale corral, where collectors can test drive and purchase a classic car.
Looking for a hard-to-find part for your classic car? One of the most popular attractions of the event is the classic car parts and accessories swap meet. Car owners can also browse dozens of vendor exhibits that feature the latest collector car products and trends.
There will also be product giveaways, courtesy of the Goodguys Giveaway booth in the exhibit tent. Names will be drawn every day for exclusive hot rod parts and car services.
The family-friendly event includes kid-friendly entertainment, including a coloring contest, clown shows and a car model building area.
General admission to the event is $17 in advance and $20 on the day of the show. Kids ages seven to 12 get in for $6.
