The McCormick Scottsdale (formerly the Millennium Resort Scottsdale McCormick Ranch) is giving visitors more reasons to stay in north Scottsdale.
The sprawling resort – nestled at the edges of the swanky McCormick Ranch neighborhood – has gotten a new name and loads of upgrades.
All 125 guest rooms and suites have been fully remodeled to reflect a more modern and relaxed look. Room color schemes have been designed to echo the natural tones and textures of the Southwestern desert landscape.

Crisp new bedding, curtains and nature-inspired artwork have injected the hotel with a dose of style. In addition, bathrooms have been upgraded with contemporary fixtures and finishes.
Scottsdale has no shortage of beautiful resorts, but The McCormick Scottsdale stands out from the pack because of its gorgeous lakeside views. Many rooms offer views of nearby Camelback Lake, a man-made lake surrounded by impeccably landscaped golf courses.
All guests get to enjoy their own private balcony or private area. Along with lakeside views, some rooms offer views of Camelback Mountain or the hotel's palm tree-lined courtyard.
All the public spaces at The McCormick Scottsdale have been given a facelift, including a sleek new lobby space and updated decor and furniture at the hotel's Diamondbacks Lounge.
At the lounge, guests can enjoy a drink on the deluxe, oversized copper-top communal dining table, or sit back and relax on the new lounge seating.
Outside, the pool area has two new poolside cabanas with upgraded chair cushions with pops of vibrant color. The swimming pool still has its popular cascading waterfall overlooking the lake and golf course.
Many of the hotel's amenities have remained intact, including the numerous recreation opportunities available to guests. If you love the outdoors, you'll appreciate the resort's tennis and sand volleyball courts; lakeside fishing; bicycle paths; paddle boating; and swimming.
And, if you love golf, the hotel is minutes from two championship 18-hole golf courses at The McCormick Ranch Golf Club.
Dining options at The McCormick include the Piñon Grill, which features Southwestern cuisine, and Diamondbacks Lounge for light bites and cocktails. There's also a poolside bar, the Coyote Cabana.
Even though The McCormick is in north Scottsdale, it has a prime location on Scottsdale Road, which is a short drive to Old Town restaurants, dining and shopping.
The hotel is about a half an hour from downtown Phoenix, and it provides easy access to the 101 Freeway, as well.
