For a town that was once known as "the West's most Western town," Scottsdale has seen a steady decline in country-western-themed nightlife venues over the years. However, the tide appears to be turning with the recent opening of The Western, a down-home honky-tonk at the edge of downtown Scottsdale featuring live music, Western-themed cocktails, bar food favorites like grilled burgers and sandwiches, and a swinging dance floor.

The Western is a vintage roadhouse and country music venue where local and national touring acts play nightly for two-stepping crowds. The venue was designed to evoke the rustic, rough-hewn flavor of old-time country bars. Old benches, vintage decor and comfy midcentury booths offer an appealing alternative for visitors looking to take a break from the city's ultra-hip dance clubs.
Not only is The Western a great place to two-step, it also happens to be a good place to grab a bite. The food menu at The Western features a large selection of Southern- and Mexican-inspired appetizers like cornmeal-fried pickles, sweet roasted corn, ribs and fries, nachos, and toritos - spicy, bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers. Sliders, tacos, sandwiches, wings, salads and sides round out the menu. Craft cocktails and drink specials are poured nightly.
