Fall in love all over again with your special someone, while you follow this one-day shore excursion during your cruise to Nassau in The Bahamas.
Horseback ride on the beach
If your ship docks early, then rise with the dropping of the anchor. Grab breakfast on the boat before taking a horseback ride on the beach.
Disembark to meet the Happy Trails Stable shuttle bus at 8:15 a.m. (There’s a later pick-up time at 10:45 a.m. for you not-so-early love birds.) Your driver will take you to the stables for a brief riding lesson, followed by a leisurely 1.5-hour trail ride through woods and on the beach, before returning you to the boat.
Lunch at a five star restaurant
When you return, take a quick shower and change into nicer duds for lunch at the five star Graycliff Restaurant. Make reservations in advance for the intimate wine luncheon at noon, and enjoy a glass of Champagne, a tour of the colonial-style historic hotel and tastings of Graycliff’s award-winning wine collection: they have over 250,000 bottles in their wine cellar! The tour and tasting concludes with a four-course gourmet meal and wine pairings. There’s no need to hurry back after lunch, though, unless your boat is leaving the port. Stay for the experiential chocolate factory tour, or take in a cigar rolling lesson at the Graycliff Cigar Company.
Relaxing spa visit
You may want to take a nap after your indulgent afternoon of wine, chocolate and cigars. Or you could take a taxi to Paradise Island and relax at the One & Only Ocean Club spa. Enjoy a couple’s massage inside a private, Balinese-style villa set in a tranquil garden on the beach.
Pre-dinner shopping
While visiting Paradise Island, stop at Marina Village for a little bit of shopping before dinner. Shop for resort – or rather, cruise – wear at Pirana Joe or formal wear at the Royal Palm Trading Company (for those evenings when you get dressed to the nines on board your cruise ship). Dinner on Paradise Island
For dinner, savor award-winning cuisine at one of several romantic restaurants on Paradise Island. Get lost in the romance of Café Martinique at Marina Village, or watch the sunset from The Point Restaurant & Bar at Atlantis Paradise Island Hotel. Or even dine al fresco by a candle-lit fountain at Courtyard Terrace or dine seaside at Dune, both located at One & Only Ocean Club.
Garden stroll
Bring your romantic day to a sweet end with a lover’s stroll through Versailles Gardens, taking in the best view of Nassau Harbor before returning to the ship and setting sail for your next port-of-call.
