Founded in 2006 by designer Milan Franeta, Sandast brings high quality vintage leather goods, produced in the U.S.A., to the luxury market. Its recently opened flagship store in Downtown Los Angeles delivers exquisite artisanal handmade and authentic items in two distinct styles, American Rugged and Italian Vintage. The 4,000 square foot space boasts the factory and neighboring elaborate showroom in what used to be an auto garage.

Choose from a variety of stylish, innovative bags like messenger, backpack, tote, and briefcase. Need a handcrafted case for your iPhone? Pick up a unique iBolsa 2 iPhone case to protect your hardwear. In addition to exclusive Sandast merchandise, visitors can sift through a variety of upper echelon clothes and accessories from designers like Vivienne Westwood, Hudson, and Thom Browne. Franeta touts the flagship enterprise as a lifestyle store, decorated with an elegant vintage motif set off by brick walls, wooden bars, and found antique fixtures.

Witness Franeta’s dedicated team sewing and placing the finishing touches on distressed leather bags, belts, and wine holders on heavy machines that range in age from fifty to one hundred years old. As a manufacturing, production, and retail establishment, Sandast’s first brick and mortar location in Los Angeles provides a unique experience for leather goods lovers and curious consumers looking for an out-of-the-box shopping expedition.
