Opened in May 2008, The Americana at Brand in Glendale is a unique one-stop shop for entertainment, dining, and shopping. Developed by Rick Caruso, who also brought Los Angeles the popular Grove at Farmer’s Market, the Americana has a similar city center feel due to its outdoor market vibe and design. Visitors love to hitch a ride on the open-air trolley that circumnavigates the entire property.

Families go gaga for Americana’s Kids’ Club, jam-packed with a slew of children-favored activities and promotions. Bring the whole gang and check out Monday Morning Mommy Movies, Stroller Strides Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and Kids Eat Free at participating restaurants on Tuesdays. Make sure to catch the dancing fountain and light show scheduled every hour in the middle of the public park.

Hungry? There’s no shortage of great restaurants like Katsuya, Granville Café, and recently opened Chi Dynasty. Every Saturday check out Gigi’s Farmer’s Market, featuring fun-filled family activities like pony rides, live music and a petting zoo. With over 75 retail stores, you’ll find popular national chains like Urban Outfitters and Sephora to smaller boutiques like Vera Bradley and Gilly Hicks.

Newly opened 41 Olive, a specialty store that carries 100% all natural olive oils and vinegars, has garnered much attention from Los Angeles foodies and cooking connoisseurs. The Americana at Brand is more than just a mall–it’s a shopper’s paradise mixed with a dash of entertainment and a lot of style.
