Once you check into the Poetry Inn, it seems impossible to imagine leaving. Perched just a few miles northeast of Yountville, it's up on a hill, giving the property stunning views of Napa valley.
Upon arrival, Daniel, the innkeeper greets you and shows you to the veranda, where you can enjoy a glass of wine, a delectable cheese plate, local olives and that incredible view of the vineyards. From that first moment, it's clear how seriously the owners take every single detail and how well taken care of you truly are during your stay there.

The rooms are thoughtfully appointed--smartly decorated with expansive king-sized beds, wood-burning fireplaces, balconies, heated floors in the bathrooms, outdoor showers and flat screen TVs. There's a pool that's perfect for twilight naps, decadent breakfasts with pastries from Bouchon, The New York Times, cornmeal-blueberry pancakes and, perhaps most importantly of all, an abundance of privacy. Guests who stay there often say they feel like the only ones there, in a good way.
It's also a place where the innkeepers treat you with genuine kindness and want your stay to be wonderful and relaxing. To book with them you have to contact them directly, and that first interaction sets the intimate tone for your visit.
