If you're looking to tackle your bucket list of Coachella Valley restaurants, here's a way to do it without breaking the bank: The annual Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week returns to the desert's culinary scene from May 31-June 16, 2013.
More than 70 Palm Springs restaurants will participate, offering three-course prix fixe menus at $26 or $38 dollars. You'll have no shortage of restaurants to choose from, but luckily you'll have two weeks to dine at the some of the desert's top restaurants.
In Palm Springs, you can choose from popular restaurants like Jake's, Citron, Norma's, Johannes, Tinto, Workshop Kitchen + Bar, Melvyn's and Copley's on Palm Canyon. Throughout the desert, you'll find prix fixe menus at restaurants like Mitch's on El Paseo in Palm Desert and The Nest in Indian Wells.
If you're looking for a great value, be sure to make reservations at Wally's Desert Turtle in Rancho Mirage. This first-time Restaurant Week participant has long been one of the Coachella Valley's top-rated restaurants, and the prix fixe menu includes starters like escargot and calamari, entrees like Chilean sea bass and braised beef short ribs with gnocchi, and savory desserts like chocolate lava cake with cherries jubilee and Wally's signature soufflé with Grand Marnier.

Restaurant Week's "Eat. See. Stay." theme includes discounts to various Palm Springs hotels and attractions, too. Hotels like Desert Springs JW Marriott and the Viceroy are offering rate discounts during the event, while Westin Mission Hills is offering a package that includes a discount rate, dinner at Pinzimini from the Restaurant Week, a round of wine or beer for two and a $25 spa certificate.
