Wolfgang Puck has arrived in the desert just outside of Palm Springs with his new pizza bar concept – and it's unlike anything you've ever seen from the celebrity chef.

It's not the express dine-and-dash concept you find at Wolfgang Puck's airport locations around the country, nor is it the ritzy fine dining experience of Spago – though you'll be dining on the same fresh ingredients. Rather, the new Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar happily caters to the casual dining experience without compromising quality.

The pizza bar serves up a Mediterranean- and Italian-inspired menu that rotates seasonally and focuses heavily on regional, seasonal ingredients. Sustainability is a driving factor at Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar, from the recycled wooden barn planks accenting the dining room to the hormone-free meats and cage-free hen eggs served on the menu.

Not only are the ingredients sustainably sourced, but everything is made in-house in the scratch kitchen. From salad dressings and alfredo sauces to simple syrups and pastries, everything is prepared fresh. Even the pizza dough is made in-house, sitting through a 9-day proofing process to reach a crispy-yet-doughy perfection.
Another customer favorite is the sundae bar, which features a selection of four gelatos (one of the only items not made in-house) and house-made toppings wheeled right to your table.
The celebrity chef-owner has visited the location several times, and he's been known to work the line after introducing himself to diners.
The Palm Desert Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar restaurant is the first West Coast location and only the third for the one-year-old concept. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends.
