It's sort of like how people claim to need a drink in order to become a better dancer. Except, we're talking about a different form of expression: art. The Air Conditioned Lounge in the Normal Heights neighborhood in San Diego offers guests the opportunity to get the creative juices flowing with $5 you-call-its on "Drink and Draw" night, every Sunday at 9:00 pm.
Costumed models are on display to sketch, paint, sculpt or photograph. And, it doesn't matter if you're a budding Picasso or comfortable with the mere stick figure. All levels of talent are welcome. A limited number of supplies will be on hand, so you're better off arriving with your own to use and share. A DJ will spin tunes to maintain your artistic groove.

A self-proclaimed dive bar, The Air Conditioned Lounge is one of San Diego's happening nightlife hot spots because of its retro vibe and friendly bartenders. Fans love the Mad Men-like feel, comfortable sofas and booths, reasonably-priced drinks and dancing the night away. There's even a VIP room with bottle service and a dedicated host for the times you feel like going big or skipping the weekend lines to get in. Happy hour is daily from 4:00-8:00 pm where everything is a mere $4. Now that's value.
