If it's a rainy Norcal day, find shelter and solace within these world-class museums

Although weather is almost always pleasant in the Bay Area, we do have our rainy season, and it's no fun being outside when the Pacific decides to throw her weight around. The following museums are located on Mission Street between New Montgomery and 4rth, a convenient two block area. They are also near public transportation; you can skip from museum to museum and not feel a drop.

Start with the MOMA, the flagship museum of every city.

After the more traditional experience of MOMA, experience the unique art at the Museum of the African Diaspora.

One of the citiy's newest and most original structures is the next stop, the Jewish Museum of Art.

Finally, for a quiet ending that pulls many different cultures together, check out the Museum of Craft and Folk Art.

These museums, as well as the cafes and restaurants in the nearby Metreon mall, will keep you dry on a rainy day.  But not only that: they will offer unforgettable experiences to bring back home.
