The delightful Inn at Mavericks is truly unlike any other hospitality experience in the region. The oversized guest rooms are tastefully decorated and boast the best waterfront views available. Thoughtfully situated away from highway noise and bright lights, The Inn at Mavericks is still within easy walking distance to the heart of Princeton-by-the-Sea.

The Inn at Mavericks gets its name from the world-famous big wave surfing spot - Mavericks - that is just minutes away. The most dramatic ocean cliff views along California’s Pacific Coast Highway 1 are both to the north and south of the Inn.
Half Moon Bay, just south of Princeton-by-the Sea, is a renowned tourist destination. Half Moon Bay is only a short 30-minute drive from San Francisco, featuring one of the most spectacular ocean views in the world via Hwy. 1. The newly opened Devils Slide Tunnel has provided even easier access to the coast.

"Once you are here, there are a plethora of things you can do," explains the inn's Director of Sales and Marketing Mary Oldham. "Right here in Princeton Harbor, where the Inn at Mavericks is located, you are steps away from the coastal trail, a beautiful walking and biking trail with panoramic ocean views. Take a short stroll to Mavericks, where the worldwide exclusive surf competition is held (window is November-March), go kayaking, take yacht lessons, ride a bike or have a spa treatment."
Or you can shop for fresh fish in the harbor, visit the tidepools at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, golf at a championship course and visit historic downtown Half Moon Bay. Don't forget to dine at the beautiful oceanfront restaurants, including The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, the first legal brewery on the coast since 1873. It's an award-winning restaurant and brewery, with views of Pillar Point Harbor.

The Inn at Mavericks is the only oceanfront inn in Half Moon Bay with rooms on the water - no highways, roads or tall cliffs separating your unobstructed view of the Pacific. Guests can hear and see the marine life and ocean right outside of their private veranda, and they can enjoy the quiet of the tiny coastal community of Princeton-by-the-Sea.
Each of the inn's six individually decorated rooms is named after a famous surfing spot in the area, and each has its own unique style, with up to 550 square feet of living space.
Once you've finished a full day of exploring, go back to the veranda of your elegant waterfront guestroom, read a book and listen to the ocean waters lapping against the soft sand and rocks.
