One of a Kind Ceramics in a One of a Kind Location

Heath Ceramics and Blue Bottle Coffee make for a uniquely San Francisco shopping experience

If "San Francisco" brings to mind intelligent, artistic, thoughtful people, nothing says San Francisco better than Heath Ceramics. Founded by Edith Heath in 1948 after her solo pottery show at San Francisco’s Legion of Honor, Heath Ceramics still epitomizes art that is timeless and thoughtful because it takes time and thought to make.Heath CeramicsHeath Ceramics — Photo courtesy of Tom Molanphy

The store offers functional pieces such as flatware, dinnerware, plates, bowls and cups, and also features different collections for specific designers. If you want to take a substantial impression of San Francisco home with you, Heath also specializes in gorgeous ceramic and tile for kitchen and bathrooms. Besides ceramics, the stores also has an ample supply of linens, clothing and jewelry.

You can top off your uniquely San Francisco shopping experience with a uniquely San Francisco drinking experience. Just cross to the other side of the building and enjoy a latte or capuccino at Blue Bottle Coffee. It's one more reason to not leave this gorgeous space in the Mission.Blue Bottle CoffeeBlue Bottle Coffee — Photo courtesy of Tom Molanphy

If you want to catch the Californian spirit, stop into Heath Ceramics and soak up an atmosphere that is truly Bay Area.
