From grand hotel chains to the smallest boutique hotels you can imagine, there's no end to the number of lodging options for visitors to San Francisco.
But if you'd like a hotel that is both grand in its luxury but small in terms of personal touch, then consider The Warwick Hotel.
Featuring 74 guest rooms, including 20 suites, The Warwick Hotel shares the same architect as San Francisco's legendary Coit Tower and City Hall, so you know the decor is outstanding and thoughtful. And with its easy access to Union Square, guests will enjoy a perfect location for shopping, dining and nightlife.

Originally built as a large mansion, The Warwick Hotel wants guests to think of their stay as if they're "guests in a large house," according to Sales Manager Steve Sajadi.
Besides offering wonderful accommodations, the hotel's also a three-in-one: guests don't have to go far to get a quality meal or a thoughtful cocktail, with both Aveline restaurant and The European cocktail lounge on the same grounds.
"We like to think of the dark wood of The European as the male counterpoint to the light atmosphere of Aveline," Sajadi explains.

One of the most unique features of this recently restored hotel is the six balcony suites, all of which still have the original, wrought iron balconies. And to keep some of that fascinating San Francisco history intact, all guest rooms have old San Francisco photos that were donated from the San Francisco Public Library archives.
Modern touches include plugs at an easy-access, waist-high level, as well as all LED lighting and centralized air.
"The city doesn't need AC most of the year, but when we need it, we really need it," Sajadi says.

And although the recent eight-million-dollar renovation has been thorough and extensive, some mystery from the past still remains: they're still trying to uncover the artist of the paintings above the lobby elevators.
The Warwick is one of six Warwicks in the United States, and it's the smallest Warwick of all Warwick Hotels worldwide. Two new Warwick Hotels are set to open in June in Cuba.
"Some hotels have a great location, and some have a great history. We feel we have both," Sajadi adds. "Our size and the renovation puts us in the luxury boutique class. We want guests to feel like they are staying at a big home, not just a hotel."
If you're looking for a luxury boutique hotel in San Francisco with a great location and a fascinating view of both San Francisco's past and future, then look no further than The Warwick Hotel.
