Are you thirsty, Santa Barbara?

On Saturday, October 20, 2012, the Santa Barbara Beer Festival will take over Elings Park for an afternoon of hedonistic beer tasting, delicious food munching and general revelry - all in the name of charity. Your $55 ticket (or $45 when purchased before October 15th) buys you entry into the event, a souvenir glass and an afternoon of unlimited tasting. All proceeds generated from ticket sale revenue will be donated to two local, nonprofit organizations: Elings Park and the Santa Barbara Rugby Association.
The Santa Barbara Beer Festival features the best microbrews from the Central Coast and West Coast. This year's brewers include Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co., Stone Brewing Company, Anheuser Busch, Ventura's Surf Brewery and Crispin Hard Cider among many others. Food vendors will also be on hand; grab a bite at Judge's Sausages and Cabot Cheese.
Be sure to plan ahead and stay safe as you leave the festival. A free shuttle will be providing transportation to and from downtown Santa Barbara. Cabs will also be available as you exit the event.
Have a friend who's not so thirsty? Buy him or her a reduced price ticket. For only $12, designated drivers may access the festival, enjoy the activities and receive a free meal at Judge's Sausages.
