Shake up your weeknight routine with a healthy dose of culture. The Santa Barbara Museum of Art (SBMA) has recently partnered with JPMorgan Chase Bank to offer free admission every Thursday night, from 5 to 8 PM. The SBMA is a nationally recognized museum with a great permanent collection and a reputation for curating excellent traveling exhibitions. Bring your friends and family along on Thursday evenings to learn more about modern and not-so-modern masterpieces at this fun, free weekly event.

Chase Free Thursday Evenings allow you after-hours access to all of the museum's galleries. Trained docents are on hand to discuss the exhibits and individual artworks. Docent "Ten Talks" give you the opportunity to participate in an informal conversation about select pieces each week. When possible, additional special programming is scheduled for Thursday nights, including activities like art lectures and book signings.
The museum's cafe and store will also be open during these events. Browse through the SBMA's unique selection of gifts or have a nibble. Beer and wine are available for purchase, too.
The SBMA is located in downtown Santa Barbara, surrounded by wonderful local shops and restaurants. After enjoying your free evening at the SBMA, you can easily walk out the museum's front door and then straight to dinner or drinks. Olio Pizzeria and Jane restaurant are both very nearby.
