This historic stretch of Québec dates back to 1816, when the area was developed on the wharfs of the Saint-Charles River. The buildings along Rue Saint-Paul aren't quite as old as the district itself, though, because in 1906 the road was widened and many of the houses were destroyed. The street has become something of an antiques district, with more than 15 dealers within the city walls. You can find everything from antique books to Edwardian silver to 18th century country Québec furniture to Art Deco accessories.
