The 34,000-square-foot complex will be the newest of eight Legolands around the world. Each Discovery Centre includes its own Miniland, which features miniature replicas of famous local landmarks. Miniland in Toronto will include some of the city’s best attractions, created from 1.5 million Lego bricks and including several moving parts, creating an awe-inspiring experience.
Visitors to Vaughan’s Legoland Discovery Centre will find several other exhibits and attractions for kids and adults alike. Take a tour through the Lego Factory, where your guide will explain how raw plastic is turned into the colourful bricks we know and love. Visitors can also offer hands-on help by producing their own bricks.
At the Earthquake Tables, use Lego to build the tallest tower you can, then watch as your creation is shaken in a test of its strength. Or catch a film in the 4D cinema, where Lego figures get to play the hero in different adventures.
During your journey at Legoland Discovery Centre, interact with the complex’s Master Model Builder, Graeme Dymond, who beat out 200 other applicants for his dream job. Graeme’s unique Lego creations and curated exhibits will be on display throughout the centre.
With Legoland Discovery Centre’s location in the Vaughan Mills shopping centre and close to the famous Canada’s Wonderland theme park, a day trip to Vaughan for families travelling in Toronto offers an enticing mix of shopping and adventure.
