The luxurious Hazelton Hotel opened in the posh Yorkville neighbourhood in 2007 just before the annual Toronto International Film Festival. Today, it counts movie stars and business leaders among its regular clientele. Each of the 77 guest rooms is at least 620 square feet in size and features nine-foot ceilings. Custom-designed furnishings, French doors that open onto Juliet balconies and modern touches such as heated bathroom floors evoke both classic Parisian elegance and 21st century convenience. And while Yorkville is home to a number of great restaurants, Hazelton Hotel guests can get a great meal at the restaurant One, located in the lobby and run by top Toronto chef Mark McEwan. Room service in bed is an option for amorous couples. Other interesting features at the Hazelton Hotel include a health club, lap pool and a 25-seat state-of-the art theatre available for private movie screenings. Two certainly counts as private.
