Canadians are no stranger to donuts, and they've been a part of coffee runs for decades. Classic honey dipped, old fashion glazed, Boston cream and jelly filled, sugar coated delights are what you may be used to ordering, but Cartems Donuterie is going to change that.

Vancouverites no longer have to long for creative creations our friends down south at Voodoo donuts make in Portland because Cartems has come up with some wonderfully creative and delicious treats. Feast your eyes on some of the following flavors:
The Bee Sting: Cartems use their unique house blend honey, infused with "cassia flowers" scattered over a cake donut. It then gets even more tasty with a shaving of parmesan and a crack of fresh black pepper.
The Earl Grey: This cake donut's batter is infused with organic earl grey tea, and topped with a blanket of earl grey glaze and is decorated with the lovely edible mallow flowers.
The Breakfast: Taking a healthy queue, start your morning with an organic whole wheat baked treat. This donut is loaded with organic figs, flax seeds, honey and agave, which will give you that added energy boost for those early morning meetings. Plus, the inner child in you will relish the fact that you're eating a (healthy) donut for breakfast!
The Sweet Heat: At first glance, it may appear to be your standard rich chocolate cake donut sprinkled with sugar. After a bite, your taste buds will notice hints of cinnamon and spicy chilies.
For those that are vegan or can't stomach flour, there are options for you to enjoy as well. Unlike chain donut shops all over the city, Cartems uses local, ethically sourced and sustainable ingredients to make their donuts. You can feel extra good about eating these sweet morsels. Did we mention that you can order these donuts online and have them delivered to you? Dangerous, we know. With a passion for baking and coming up with new ideas, don't be surprised to see their current menu expanding.
